A passenger alighted at the junction, just after we took off. About a 10-foot stretch away, a man sitting in the middle seat asked the driver to stop so he could alight. 🙄
Annoying, right? It was clear the driver was not going to stop—he just kept accelerating.
Some of us made unfavorable comments, while others even hurled indirect insults at the man. To us, he should’ve alighted at the junction like the other passenger. Why waste our time?
However, the driver eventually pulled over at a distance he deemed necessary—but it was far.
Some of us actually supported the driver’s ill treatment. 🥺 When the man was asked to get down, still receiving insults, he began searching for something by his seat—his walking stick. 🥺
He was physically challenged and couldn’t alight at the junction because he needed a spot closer to his home instead. 🥺
It was a shameful experience, especially for those who had rained mountains of insults on him. He didn’t utter a word—just kept smiling. But I know there was a lot of pain hidden behind that smile.
NB: Let’s not be too quick to ‘open’ our mouths until we know all the facts.
